I agree with the general principles of the movement - however this #OWS movement is not the peaceful protest it is being touted as.
in trying to find out more about it i was watching youtube - now the youtube vids are all about the police brutality when making an arrest. If it was a peaceful protest when an officer asks/tells you to get on the sidewalk - you should make every effort - when they make a decision to arrest you - fighting back is NOT peaceful.
The cops are there for everyone’s protection - yours and the banks/corporations. They are there to ensure a “peaceful protest” does not become a mob. Remember they are not the $greedy$ - they are just trying to take their $35k starting salary and make a home/life - just like you are…you are not entitled to walk in the middle of the street - you are not entitled to block cars/taxis/buses - the cops are there trying to keep everyone safe - including you “peaceful” protesters from getting hit by those very cars/buses/taxis…
Turn the protest back around on the banks/corporations/politicians - the originally intended target.
If you want socialism - head north
If you want communism - swim to Cuba
If you want changes that will make this country great again - vote out the incumbants - let your local govt/ state govt / congressmen and senators you are not going to take it anymore. Stop doing business with the big corporations. Work hard and play hard. No more bailouts. Saving by both individuals and the government will stop the recession - not more spending.
If you feel you are entitled to a job/healthcare/benefits just from living here without working for it - good luck to you - find a sugar daddy.
